Lesson Summary

In this lesson, students will divided into groups to read various plans proposed at the Constitutional Convention and to summarize key ideas. Students will then be divided into smaller groups to share information they learned as experts with a non-expert group. As a class, students will complete chart comparing the various plans proposed during Constitutional Convention. Students will highlight in their own pocket Constitution how each plan influenced the actual Constitution. Students will follow-up with a writing assignment linking together the weaknesses of the Articles of Confederation to the solutions put into the Constitution.
