Standard 11:c - The student will demonstrate knowledge of the effects of World War II on the home front by explaining the internment of Japanese Americans during the war.
One 90 minute block period
This lesson will allow students to get a sense of what it was like for Japanese Americans to be placed in internment camps during World War II. This lesson relies heavily on primary source documents and the Socratic Seminar. Students will be involved in a variety of activities throughout the class period.
