Lesson Summary

This lesson is in two parts. First, the students will complete a web research assignment on their own as a homework assignment before they come in for the second part of the lesson. This second part will be a group activity in which the class will analyze online primary sources to find out the arguments for and against giving women the right to vote. Each group will have a role to play in the culminating activity - a mock Senate hearing on an constitutional amendment giving women the right to vote.
