Exhibitions at the Library of Congress

Hopefully, you will find time this summer to visit one of the most beautiful buildings in Washington – the Jefferson Building of  the Library of Congress.  Information about a visit can be found at http://www.loc.gov/visit/  In the Jefferson Building,  you will find on display A Thousand Years of the Persian Book which explores Persia’s rich literary tradition with materials ranging from illuminated manuscripts to contemporary publications.  The fascinating exhibition items range from selections on poetry, religion, writing systems, to science and technology and history.
If you cannot make the visit to the physical library, try a virtual visit: http://www.loc.gov/exhibits/thousand-years-of-the-persian-book/exhibit-items.html
