Ambassador Academy enables educators to facilitate professional development focused developing teacher ability to use Best Instructional Practices and primary sources to deepen student understanding of the curriculum. The course addresses methods of adult learning, coaching and feedback models, Library of Congress patron skills, Best Instructional Practices Analysis, and the publication of exemplary Lesson Plans.

Qualifications to participate in the Ambassador Academy (DRAFT for 2007):

  • At least three years of teaching experience in one subject or grade.
  • Completed Learn with Primary Sources Workshop Series  program.
  • Submitted at least one field-test of a Lesson Plan from the collection at PrimarySourceLearning.org.
  • Published at least one Lesson Plan in the Primary Source Lesson Plan Collection.
