This unit is designed for 8th grade Geography students. It is an introductory social studies unit to review and familiarize students with geographic skills which will help them in their study of Geography throughout the year. Although it is designed for 8th grade it is appropriate for all middle school grades.
Prior to this lesson students should be familiar with the basic map elements, directions and map symbols.
