At the conclusion of this unit, you will have accomplished the following:

• analyzed, interpreted and synthesized primary sources such as photographs, prints, broadsides, maps, letters and news articles;
• integrated multiple resources to develop an understanding of the African American Civil Rights Movement;
• created an authentic artifact;
• written a persuasive essay;
• participated in a group discussion/debate; and
• enhanced your knowledge of African American History and come to a conclusion as to whether or not African Americans have truly achieved the goal of equality today.
