Give Me Liberty or Give Me Tea!
How did Colonists spread their ideas about colonial independence?

Introduction

“Give Me Liberty
or
Give Me Death.”

Patrick Henry

The words rang out of Patrick Henry, echoing through the church chamber.  Fiery passion fluttered through the air and enlightened the hearts of many. “We too will stand up for liberty!” “We too will raise our arms to fight for our freedoms.” “No taxation without representation!” The unspoken dreams of an independent nation danced on the tongues of the patriots.

However, this same passion for independence enraged the faithful minds of the loyalist. “Treason!” Their hearts bleed for the mother country. The country who protected them from the Indian and French savagery. The country who gave them the rights to own property.

Who is right? Is it better to stay with England and all their protections? Or is it better to risk all that you know for a chance of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness?
